Sunday, September 19th: Build and Decorate the Sukkah and then Sing, Share, and Shake the Lulav 2PM-5PM
All ages are welcome to come help us build and decorate the Sukkah. We’ll need plenty of adults to help erect the structure, and in the meantime, all ages can make decorations. Then we’ll hang up the decorations and enjoy singing in the sukkah and learning about the lulav and sharing which spiritual guests, or ushpizin, we want to welcome into the sukkah with us this year. To keep everyone safe and healthy, we’ll have a whole side of the sukkah open so that some people can be inside and others can be outside, but we can still be together as one community.
Monday, September 20th: BYO Picnic Dinner, followed by a Sukkot Festival Service 7:00 PM
Welcome the festival with a celebratory Sukkot Festival Service with plenty of singing. We’ll begin at 7pm with a bring your own picnic dinner socially distanced in pods inside and near the sukkah. We’ll begin the service at 7:30pm.
Sunday September 26, Song Share in the Sukkah with Kris Wettstein 7:00 PM
Join Malkhut music director Kris Wettstein for a Sukkot song share. Bring a song to share if you’d like! Or just come to sing or listen. Kris will be sharing some interactive pieces he’s written around the theme of ‘shmita’ (sabbath year). There will be no eating allowed at this event.
