Our Kotel: a ritual marking a year since we've gathered in person on Saturday, March 13th, at 5:00P.M.

The Kotel, also known as the Western Wall or the Wailing Wall, is one of the last remaining ruins of the ancient holy Temple in Jerusalem. For generations, it has served as a place of pilgrimage for our People as we have yearned to get close to where we believed the Divine Presence dwelled. A wall we kiss and weep at, in whose cracks we cram prayers on scraps of paper, where we can almost touch a holy place to which we no longer have access.

We will mark a year since we have gathered in large communal numbers - whether at Malkhut or in other places. We will gather on Zoom to mark this year with our own Kotel ritual. Bring your heart, your tears, your presence. Bring a scrap of paper to jot down your prayer.
